One important way being a part of a community is beneficial is the support and strength gained in numbers.
There are several requests on social networks and forums like, you click on my links and I’ll click on yours, however there is no real way of ensuring anyone actually will click on your link. Even what I am offering here is based much on an honor system.
- Submit your email address, link to examiner article (not bio page) to be added to the list, along with your Twitter ID (@busysngleparent) profile page. All links should be sent in original form – not shortened form (ie. bi.tly or tinyurl)
- Names will be added to list in order received.
- Once 20 names are received the system will begin
- Links from the first set of 10 will be sent to the second set of 10
- Once you received the email with links return the email with a new link to be added to the next days list.
- The first set of 10 members will be the last to receive a list of 10 links.
- Submissions after 7:00 pm CST will be added to the following days list.
Unless the majority of members agree by request you will receive only one email per day with 10 links to check out. This way we are not sitting at our desk clicking links all day while still showing our support!
This is like a game of leapfrog. The first set of 10 gets sent to the bottom only to rise to the top again for the next day.
My Pledge
As the manager of the Examiner Top 10 Link List I my pledge to you is that I will send out the emails daily until all submissions meeting the deadline have been sent out and have received links.
Your Pledge
As a member of the Examiner’s Top 10 Link Listis to click on each link, read the article, then tweet the member to verify the article was read. The final step is the send in your new link for the next day’s list.
Links will be added in order received. This will help ensure new readers to your article along with new twitter friends. Also, if you do not have a new link to send you will be able to send the same link as the previous and chances are the article will be read by a different member.
Benefits
This process ensures daily page views, grows your Twitter network and hopefully creates new friends.
Sending your Twitter ID (versus email confirmation) ensures the privacy of your email address.
In exchange for managing the Top Ten Link List you agree that by submitting to this list you agree to receive monthly newsletters from The Busy Single Parent. The Busy Single Parent agrees to not sell or give-a-way your email address.
Choosing a channel allows members of the same channel to view each others articles, share information, and learn from each other.
If you choice a specific channel you will remain listed as “All” until at least 20 members have signed up for the same channel.
